James Prichard
Professor James Prichard qualified at the Royal London Hospital in 1994. He is a nationally renowned teacher in endodontics, delivering hands on courses, lectures and seminars throughout the UK. He has held the posts of Associate Clinical Teacher and Clinical Supervisor in endodontics on the Masters Programme at the University of Warwick. He is the current Head of Endodontics at the College of Medicine and Dentistry and teaches on the MSc in Endodontics. Before joining the College of Dentistry, he held the title of Visiting Professor and Programme Leader on the MClinDent in Endodotology at BPP University working in association with City of London Dental School. He has published widely in the dental journals including the International Endodontic Journal, The British Dental Journal and Endodontic Practice. James has also demonstrated the latest advances in endodontic technology for Schottlander at the Dental Showcases since 2004. James gained his Masters Degree (MSc) in Restorative Dental Practice with distinction from the Eastman Dental Institute. He also holds BDS(ULond), LDSRCS(Eng) and MFGDP(UK) qualifications, and in 2011 was awarded his Fellowship from The International Academy of Dental Facial Esthetics in New York.

Simon Ash
Professor Ash became involved with dental sleep medicine DSM (snoring & obstructive sleep apnoea) around 25 years ago working in a multidisciplinary team, Chest medicine, ENT, Oral surgery and Orthodontics at Whipps Cross Hospital. As an undergraduate he trained at The London then went into general practice, with a part time clinical assistant post before returning to secondary care. Postgrad Orthodontics at the Eastman then Senior Registrar at UCH. From 1988 to 2013, he was Consultant Orthodontist at Whipps Cross & Hon Consultant at The London. In specialist private practice Professor Ash developed a special interest in dental sleep medicine and between 2013 and 2017 this was almost entirely DSM. He has written several articles in peer reviewed journals, presented papers and lectured widely on DSM in the UK and abroad. He invented the Somnowell Chrome cobalt mandibular advancement device and was a co-founder and until recently a director of Somnowell Ltd. Professor Ash continues to teach postgraduate Orthodontics and Dental Sleep Medicine.

Flavio Pisani
Professor Flavio Pisani BDS, MClinDent, PhD, MScPerio Professor Pisani holds a MClinDent in Oral Surgery, a MSc in Implant Dentistry and a MClinDent in Periodontology from the SIdP-Italian Society of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry. He completed his PhD in Dentistry in 2008 at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” (Italy). Flavio has held the position of Full Time Senior Clinical Lecturer in Periodontology at BPP University since 2014 and he passionately leads the MClinDent Programme in Periodontology; he recently undertook the role of Head of Periodontics at the newly established College of Medicine and Dentistry in Birmingham. Dr. Flavio Pisani has a special interest in the management of periodontal diseases, and advanced treatments of regenerative and root coverage surgery.

Professor Raj Raja Rayan
Honours: Officer of the Order of the British Empire for Services to Dental Education Qualifications: MA (Clin Ed), MSc(Lon), BDS(Lon),FDS RCSEd, FFGDP(UK)RCS(Eng), MRD RCS(Eng),MGDS RCS(Eng), DRD RCSEd, LDS RCS(Eng) MRIP, RPf, CertP. Honorary: FICD,FPFA,FACD He was the past Dean, Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK), The Royal College of Surgeons of England; and past Associate Dean of Postgraduate Dentistry, London Deanery, University of London. In 1999, Raj was awarded the Order of the Officer of the British Empire by Her Majesty, the Queen, for services to Dental Education in 1999. He was a former member of the Standing Dental Advisory Committee to the Secretary of State for Health and the Lord Chancellor on Judicial Appointments of Judges as well as of Magistrates. He also served on other advisory panels. Raj was the youngest Dean of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners, the Royal College of Surgeons of England where he served as Chairman of Finance, Chairman of Examinations and as Vice Dean. He has examined for the Diploma, Membership and Fellowship examinations of the College and he is an emeritus examiner. He was also an elected Council member of the statutory body, the General Dental Council with the largest vote. He was the Chairman of the AOG, past President of the British Society for General Dental Surgery, past Chairman of the Pierre Fauchard Academy (UK Chapter) and the National Centre for Transcultural Oral Health which he fathered. He has been elected honorary life member of several dental organisations from many nations including India, Malaysia, UK, Lebanon and Sri Lanka. He has co-authored, edited and contributed chapters in several significant publications including the Self Assessment Manual and Standards, Pathways in Practice, Selection Criteria in Radiography, Dentists Patients and Minorities, Accessory Points, Occlusion and Articulation and so on. He originated and served on the Editorial Board of the first Continuing Education Journal (CPD-Dentistry) in Britain, which was the first verifiable CPD journal in the UK and continues to serve on several editorial panels. He is a registered specialist in restorative dentistry and an internationally acclaimed lecturer having lectured as keynote speaker in numerous countries at several international events. Raj K Raja Rayan OBE was a Director on the Board of Management of the Eastman Dental Institute prior to its merger with University College London. During his tenure, the new International Centre for Excellence in Dentistry was established to underpin the continuing professional development of general dental practitioners. His name is included in the plaque. As Associate Dean at the London Deanery, providing training and development of over 3,600 dentists and 7,000 Dental Care professionals, running over 800 educational activities in London and operating from 15 postgraduate centres, including Hi Fidelity simulation facilities.

Andrew Arnold
Andrew is Director in the William Martin Compliance Solutions Water Hygiene Division and holds over 16 years’ experience in Legionella management and control having held previous positions at Casella Winton (Bureau Veritas), RPS Group, Quantum Risk Management and Oakleaf Technical Services. Holding a BSc honours degree and MSc in Environmental Engineering Andrew is a fully elected member of the Water Management Society with extensive experience in Legionella risk assessments and audits of systems including domestic, cooling, spa and hydrotherapy pools across a wide range of property sectors including commercial, healthcare, industrial and retail. He is knowledgeable in sampling water systems for a range of parameters both routinely and diagnostically and has assisted a number of clients with improvement notices issued by the Health and Safety Executive relating to Legionella control.
