Radiography and radiation
To familiarise the learner with all the essential elements of Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2000 (IR(ME)R 2000) and the Ionising Radiation Regulations 1999 (IRR99). The programme needs to be done in conjunction with Radiography (Regulations Update 2018) to reflect the recent UK legislation changes to both of these regulations.
This elearning programme is aimed at all members of the dental team involved in radiography as part of their clinical duties. Topics covered include: radiation physics; radiation protection; selection criteria and quality assurance; diagnostic radiology; and UK legislation. The programme provides answers to many commonly asked questions and provides hints and tips on how to obtain the maximum diagnostic yield.
