Learning content

DNNET II is designed to help training dental nurses and as an update for established nurses. The Prosthetic Proceedures module includes the topics: the nurse's role; types of prostheses; stages and procedures; aftercare.


  • To identify indications for treatment
  • Be able to preparing the surgery for prosthodontic proceedures
  • To providing support during prosthetic procedures
  • The  explain the purpose and features of different prostheses
  • Identify the dental nurse's role and the steps required during different stages of the design and fitting process
  • Explain relevant aftercare advice
  • Identify common problems with dentures
  • Pass the 20 minute assessment
