Course Description

Aims

This programme aims to help the learner to demonstrate their understanding and implementation of current good practice guidelines for keeping full, accurate, contemporaneous and legible clinical records.

Learning content

This programme will help the learner to understand and implement current good practice guidelines for keeping clinical records. 

Objectives

To be able to show how clinical records are kept in the practice, including:

  • Records of all diagnostic information
  • Records of all treatment detail
  • Understanding of NHS regulations and paperwork
  • Ability to write effective referral letters
  • Awareness of and ability to comply with record-keeping guidelines
