To introduce delegates to modern concepts of endodontic access in line with minimally invasive concepts and to introduce guided endodontic access for canal location.

Join Profession James Prichard in this webinar. It will discuss modern advances in access cavities, including advantages and disadvantages of each, in the goal of tooth preservation. The use of 3D printed guides will also be discussed for location and instrumentation of calcified canals.


  • To understand how the concepts of endodontic access have evolved in order to preserve tooth structure including benefits and limitations of each. 
  • To understand the evolving use of 3d imaging and printing technology in canal identification and instrumention.

About the Speaker

Professor James Prichard

Professor James Prichard qualified at the Royal London Hospital in 1994. He is a nationally renowned teacher in endodontics, delivering hands on courses, lectures and seminars throughout the UK. He has held the posts of Associate Clinical Teacher and Clinical Supervisor in endodontics on the Masters Programme at the University of Warwick. He is the current Head of Endodontics at the College of Medicine and Dentistry and teaches on the MSc in Endodontics.

Before joining the College of Dentistry, he held the title of Visiting Professor and Programme Leader on the MClinDent in Endodotology at BPP University working in association with City of London Dental School. He has published widely in the dental journals including the International Endodontic Journal, The British Dental Journal and Endodontic Practice. James has also demonstrated the latest advances in endodontic technology for Schottlander at the Dental Showcases since 2004. James gained his Masters Degree (MSc) in Restorative Dental Practice with distinction from the Eastman Dental Institute. He also holds BDS(ULond), LDSRCS(Eng) and MFGDP(UK) qualifications, and in 2011 was awarded his Fellowship from The International Academy of Dental Facial Esthetics in New York.
