Dr Peter Galgut qualified as a dentist in 1971, and gained an MSc with distinction in Periodontology at UCH in 1983. Subsequently he obtained the MRD (Membership in Restorative Dentistry) and also the MFGDP from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He was awarded an MPhil in acknowledgement of his research in biomaterials and wound healing and later a PhD for his thesis on the uses and abuses of statistics in Clinical Trials. In addition, he is a trained Homeopath and Acupuncturist, and he is an accredited Expert Witness. 

In both 2010 and 2013, he was the winner of both of the most prestigious awards by the British Dental Health Foundation: Dentist of the Year (South) (Equivalent to England), and UK National Dentist of the Year. 

Dr Peter Galgut is a practicing a Periodontist in North West London (England) and a World renowned Lecturer. He has published over 120 research papers and he has written a text book on Periodontics.
