Mohammad-Adel Moufti

Dr Mohammad-Adel Moufti is a Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry at Manchester University. He has an intensive role in teaching on the Masters Programme in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry in collaboration with Healthcare Learning. He is also Examiner at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and an invited lecturer on occlusion and implant dentistry at a number of institutes and international conferences. 

Having graduated from Damascus in 1997, he was awarded a scholarship to complete training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Then moved to Newcastle University (UK) and completed his PhD in the field of occlusion and TMD In 2007. He was appointed a Clinical Fellow in Restorative Dentistry at Newcastle Dental School, and later became the Lead for the Crown and Bridge course until 2011 when he received a prestigious scholarship from the ITI (International Team for Implantology, Switzerland) to pursue clinical training in Implantology at the ITI Centre at Belgrade University.

Dr Moufti’s research has been published in high calibre journals, and been recognised by 3 prestigious international awards (IADR in the USA, ICOT in Australia and BSRD in the UK). He is currently reviewer for a number of international journals including: J Oral Rehabilitation, J of Dentistry, J Orofacial Pain, and editor for the journal of Oral Health and Dental Management.
